Through interactive lectures, engaging activities, games, and hands-on workshops, students will gain valuable experience in each subject. All classes will be hosted online over Zoom and students will receive email with all class information around half a week before the start date. Introduction to Biology
Instructor: Noah Ray and Denver Hutchinson

Time: Sundays from 8 AM - 9 AM Central Time
Grade Level: 6th to 10th
Jump in to uncover the secrets of life itself! Introduction to Biology serves as an opportunity for interested students to learn about how living things grow, adapt, and interact. This course builds an understanding on the systems that sustain life, and what gave rise to its information. Through activities and case studies, students will learn to ask meaningful questions, challenging existing biological knowledge to view the living world as one brimming with patterns, networks, interactions, and much more.

Grade Level: 6th to 11th
Numbers are much more than data points; they can be used to tell stories about the world around us. In Statistics, students have the opportunity to collect, analyze, interpret, and map data points to draw meaningful conclusions. By recognizing important patterns, thinking about uncertainty, making predictions, testing ideas, and visualizing results, this class aims for students to use numbers in real-world applications.

World History

Grade Level: 6th to 10th
How have civilizations grown and developed? What connects them? What makes them different? Why should we care? By exploring stories, conflicts, innovations, communities, cultures, and movements, World History will help students understand the factors that have influenced the development of human societies from ancient empires to the modern era. With a hands-on approach, this course is a great fit for students looking to improve their critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills. In World History, students will understand that history is an interactive story of all who have shaped our world today.

Introduction to Geometry
Instructor: Hannah Chang

Grade Level: 6th to 8th
Ready to unlock the patterns that shape our world? In Introduction to Geometry, students explore the fundamentals behind shapes, space, and design. This course teaches how to think logically, visually, and cohesively, and will connect geometry to the real world in a series of challenges. With a focus on in-depth explanations and clear reasoning, this course helps students build a foundation in math that goes far beyond formulas. By the end, students will see the world through the lens of lines, angles, and possibilities.

Introduction to Physics

Discover what forces surround us in our everyday lives! In Introduction to Physics, students will experience a deep-dive into the laws that help govern the movement of energy, light, matter, and more. Students will explore creative applications of physics into our everyday lives, building strong analytical skills along the way. By the end, students will be able to understand the science behind many of the objects around them.

Elementary Art
Instructor: Nusrat Hossain

Time: Tuesdays from 7 PM - 8 PM Central Time
Grade Level: 1st to 5th
What is art? How do we make it? Why do we make it? Elementary Art is a class for all students, returning or not, to exploring these questions. Through this class, students will learn to design projects, focusing on their creative abilities and learning various art techniques. We will investigate the purpose of art, and the joy it can bring.

Research and Discovery

In Research and Discovery, students will learn to ask meaningful questions and find answers through evidence-based inquiry. From formulating a hypothesis to gathering data about results to presenting the findings, this class will teach every stage of the research process, essential in any discipline. By investigating real-world issues with constructive feedback from experienced tutors, students will understand research as a mindset that empowers them to explore and contribute novel ideas to society.

Algebra I
Instructors: Siddharth Dasari and Noah Ray

Explore the basics of algebra—using numbers, symbols, and equations to solve problems. You’ll learn how to work with variables, simplify expressions, and solve equations step by step. Algebra helps us understand patterns, make predictions, and solve real-world issues. Don't worry if it seems tricky at first! With practice, you'll see how fun and useful algebra can be.

Elementary Math

What's the power hidden in numbers? Elementary Math will teach students all about the foundational skills that make all higher levels of math possible. Through learning patterns, operations, problem-solving, and connections, this course explores real-world examples to illustrate how math can be fun while being a force for good. By the end, students will recognize math as not just numbers, but as a powerful tool for shaping the world.

Writing
Instructor: Tahani Meraz

Grade Level: 5th to 8th
Writing helps students make sense of the art of the written word. In a day and age where the human experience seems less and less individual, it is important to consider ways we can create meaning through text, connecting with others. By taking Writing, students will learn about effective styles and strategies while delving into important literary works.

Algebra II

Pre-Algebra

Algebra is an important concept to make sense of our everyday world. Pre-Algebra is a course designed for students who might need some more practice before taking Algebra I. In this course, students will review and learn important concepts in math before transitioning to some algebraic ideas.
