Through interactive lectures, engaging activities, games, and hands-on workshops, students will gain valuable experience in each subject. All classes will be hosted online over Zoom or Google Meets and students will receive email with all class information around two days before the start date. English + History
Instructor: Trinity Donkor & Katherine Huang

In this course, students dive into the powerful connection between literature and the past, linking classic books with the real-world events that inspired them. Through lively discussions and a close look at historical documents, they will unpack the stories of humanity to see how words have shaped our world. This class sets up the critical thinking skills needed for all future humanities courses.

Essay Writing

In this course, students master the art of strong academic writing, moving from basic thesis statements to building bulletproof arguments with solid evidence. Through hands-on writing workshops and collaborative peer reviews, they will learn how to organize their thoughts and voice their ideas with confidence. This class delivers the essential tools required for high-level high school and college papers.

Biology

Jump in to uncover the secrets of life itself! Biology serves as an opportunity for interested students to learn about how living things grow, adapt, and interact. This course builds an understanding on the systems that sustain life, and what gave rise to its information. Through activities and case studies, students will learn to ask meaningful questions, challenging existing biological knowledge to view the living world as one brimming with patterns, networks, interactions, and much more.

Advanced Biology
Instructor: Khal Him, Denver Hutchinson & Noah Ray

Grade Level: 5th to 8th
This course builds on basic biology and helps students understand how living things work at a deeper level. Students will learn about cells, genetics, evolution, and how different body systems function together. Lessons include simple explanations, real-life examples, and practice questions to help prepare for tests and labs. By the end, students will feel more confident explaining how life works—from tiny cells to entire ecosystems.

Algebra I

Explore the basics of algebra—using numbers, symbols, and equations to solve problems. You’ll learn how to work with variables, simplify expressions, and solve equations step by step. Algebra helps us understand patterns, make predictions, and solve real-world issues. Don't worry if it seems tricky at first! With practice, you'll see how fun and useful algebra can be.

Chemistry

In this course, students will explore the fundamental principles of chemistry, from understanding atomic structures to investigating chemical reactions and bonding. Elementary Art

Grade Level: 1st to 5th
What is art? How do we make it? Why do we make it? Elementary Art is a class for all students, returning or not, to exploring these questions. Through this class, students will learn to design projects, focusing on their creative abilities and learning various art techniques. We will investigate the purpose of art, and the joy it can bring.

Research and Discovery

In Research and Discovery, students will learn to ask meaningful questions and find answers through evidence-based inquiry. From formulating a hypothesis to gathering data about results to presenting the findings, this class will teach every stage of the research process, essential in any discipline. By investigating real-world issues with constructive feedback from experienced tutors, students will understand research as a mindset that empowers them to explore and contribute novel ideas to society.

World History

In this course, students travel through time to explore human civilization, tracking the rise of ancient empires up to the global events of the modern era. Through interactive map activities and deep dives into major world events, they will discover how past choices created the society we live in today. This class provides a clear, connected framework for all future history studies.

Math Maniacs
Instructor: Emily Mei & Cynthia Cai

Grade Level: 5th to 7th
Math Maniacs is a nine-week AMC 8 enrichment class designed for students in Grades 5–7. This course is targeted towards students who can score a 15 or above on the AMC 8, as it will cover more advanced topics such as the Pigeonhole principle, logarithms, diophantine equations, and more! The course also introduces fun and effective math tricks, clever strategies, and logical thinking techniques. With a focus on making math engaging and approachable, Math Maniacs helps build confidence and curiosity in young mathematicians.

Elementary Math

In this course, students build a fun and confident relationship with math, mastering core arithmetic while tackling creative problem-solving puzzles. Creative Writing

In this course, students unlock their imaginations to craft original stories, learning how to build unforgettable characters, suspenseful plots, and vivid settings. Through daily writing prompts and experimental storytelling exercises, they will discover their unique creative voice and learn how to hook a reader from the very first sentence. This class inspires a lifelong love for reading and creative expression.
